The NFL (National Football League) is going on since 8th September 2022 and on Monday Night Football the match was between Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans.
During the last few minutes of the first half, the 25 years old Dane Jackson who was playing as a Cornerback for the Buffalo bills was trying to tackle Treylon Burks, the rookie receiver of the opponent team the Tennessee Titans, when the other member of the Buffalo Bills, Tremaine Edmunds rushed towards them and accidentally collided with Dane Jackson, and Dane’s neck stretched backwards and had a severe neck injury.
Players of Buffalo Bills and the trainers rushed to aid him. An ambulance came after a few minutes for Dane Jackson and he was taken to the hospital immediately.
After halftime, Buffalo Bills announced that Dane Jackson was taken to Erie County Medical Center, the local hospital in Buffalo, New York to undergo a CT scan and X-ray. They added that they are waiting for further updates.
The match got delayed for around 10 minutes as the trainers were busy attending to the injured Dane Jackson.
Dane’s teammates especially Edmunds were beside Dane throughout the time till the ambulance came. Edmunds said that seeing Dane moving and showing thumbs up on his way out relaxed their minds a little.
Tennessee Titans worsen the situation
Dane Jackson got hurt badly and was rolling on the ground with pain, the very time one of the members of the Tennessee Titans jolted Dane. That act looked dirty though there are speculations that the players were unaware of Dane’s injury. We hope that he was unaware of Dane Jackson’s injury unless it was a very severe action to be done and if it was intentional then the management of the NFL must take action against the player.
Tremaine Edmunds Explanation of the collision
Tremaine Edmunds from Buffalo Bills, who collided with Dane Jackson explained the situation. When Edmunds was asked about the collision, he said that he saw that the receiver was still up so to end the game he rushed towards Trylon. Edmunds added that obviously, he didn’t hit Dane intentionally.
