The movie which has been the talk of the town for a very long time “Don’t Worry Darling”, premiered at the Venice International Festival, in 2022.
5th September during the 79th Venice International Film Festival the movie Don’t Worry Darling premiered and all the cast Olivia Wilde, Harry Styles, Florence Pugh, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Sydney Chandler, and Nick Kroll were there for the premiere. Florence Pugh, the lead actress who was skipping the promotion of the movie was also present during the movie premiere night at the Venice Film festival.
The Don’t worry Darling movie’s premiere got applause from the fans.
Don’t Worry Darling
The physiological thriller movie Don’t Worry Darling revolved around a young married couple Jack (Harry Styles) and Alice (Florence Pugh), who was living in a Utopian experimental society in the desert. The story is set in the 1950s. Jack and other people in the society are working as employees and their wives are enjoying their happy and perfect life. Alice is living a perfect life with her friends, with good food, a pretty house, parties, and enjoying a luxurious life. For the wives of the society, there are dance classes to attend. Gemma Chan is portrayed as Shelly, the dance instructor, and Frank’s (Chris Pine) wife. Everything was just on point but still, Alice always has an instinct that something is not right about Jack’s Company. Every time she asks Jack about what he and his friends are exactly doing in the headquarters, she is intercepted. Chris Pine is playing the role of Frank Jack’s boss. Olivia Wilde was playing the character of Bunny, Alice’s best friend.
The fans and media were excited about the movie premiere though many people were much interested in keeping a keen look at whether the rumours of some tension between Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde were true.
Earlier on the premiere night, a press conference was aired. People watched the conference in expectation to get some clarification over the rumours but nothing was cleared that much. Florence Pugh the lead actress skipped the Panel meeting due to flight timing. When the media asked Olivia Wilde, the director, and actor of the movie about the rumours she said that she doesn’t need to say anything as it is already well nourished. Olivia said the internet feeds itself. She said she didn’t want to add to the cacophony of endless tabloid chatter.
While interacting with the media, actor Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde did not seem to be on talking terms. It seemed as if Florence, Olivia Wilde, and Harry Styles were avoiding each other. Florence Pugh has been seen interacting and sharing laughs with Chris Pine and MCU actor Gemma Chan. Florence Pugh is committing to the ongoing shooting of Dune 2, returned immediately.
Don’t Worry Darling: Production and Writing
The film Don’t Worry Darling was announced in August 2019. New line Cinema production won the auction among the 18 studios who were interested in Olivia’s directed project. The original speculative screenplay was written by Carey and Shane Van Dyke. The screenplay was written by Katie Silberman.
Cast
Jack’s role was supposed to play by Shia LaBeouf. In April 2020, Shia LaBeouf, Florence Pugh, and Chris Pine were locked for the Cast. Later Harry Styles replaced Shia LaBeouf and joined the cast. Olivia Wilde was earlier set to play Florence’s part as Alice and Florence were supposed to play Olivia’s part as Bunny. Later Olivia thought that for this movie it would be better to cast a young couple.
