Without a question, one of the most eagerly awaited video games is GTA 6. The good news is that it is presently under development and that work on it is “well underway,” according to developer Rockstar Games.
The sixth Grand Theft Auto game has finally been confirmed after years of rumours and conjecture. Now that we are aware that GTA 6 is a real game that we will eventually be able to play, we have more concerns. What is the most crucial to know is when it will be released. Sadly, we are still uncertain. The most likely time frame is in a few years, and according to some research, we might have to wait until at least 2024.
Understandably, there aren’t many concrete facts regarding GTA 6 accessible just yet given its rumoured release date, with Rockstar remaining silent beyond confirming its existence and promising to “establish creative benchmarks for the series.”
Still, there are plenty of reports and rumours to keep us entertained until the subsequent formal announcement. For instance, a recent fascinating Bloomberg article suggested that the game would feature the first playable female protagonist in the franchise and centre around two characters modelled after the American criminal couple, Bonnie and Clyde.

It seems increasingly likely that GTA 6 will send us back to Vice City, with post-launch DLC extending our journey into further locales and cities.
We’ll probably have to wait a little while longer before learning more about GTA 6 or seeing it in action. At the very least, GTA 5‘s appearance on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S gave us a glimpse of how sharp the game would appear on the newest system generation.

The Rockstar GTA 6
Rockstar Games has officially revealed that it is working on Grand Theft Auto 6 but has kept the release date securely under wraps. But several assertions and hypotheses might indicate when we’ll be able to play Grand Theft Auto 6. Only a few of them predict it will occur shortly.
Several current and former Rockstar employees claim the developer has spent a lot of time determining exactly how the next Grand Theft Auto would look, according to a recent Bloomberg report(opens in new tab). They estimate that GTA 6 is still at least two years away from release and predict that the sequel will debut in 2024 as a result of the prolonged production period.
Despite being merely speculative, it fits with numerous stories and disclosures from the previous few years. Up until this point, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent business, used its marketing resources to give us the most reliable GTA 6 release date indication. Take-Two expects to spend $89 million on marketing between April 2023 and the end of March 2024, a significant increase and more than half the marketing budget anticipated for any other fiscal year over the following ten years, according to its 10-K SEC filing from 2020 (which outlines financial plans for the next five years).
Because of this, according to industry expert Jeff Cohen, this rise is related to the impending release of GTA 6. (which now looks likely). Cohen noted in a letter to investors (opens in new tab) that Take-Two Interactive’s other major releases, such as Red Dead Redemption 2, were anticipated by prior marketing plans. If this prediction holds, we can expect GTA 6 to be released between April 2023 and March 2024. Originally scheduled to happen in the fiscal year 2023, this spike will now happen in 2024. If GTA 6 is to blame, it would suggest a delay if this spike is related to it.
Due to the anticipated release of GTA 6 during this time frame, industry expert Jeff Cohen concluded that this rise is related to it (which now looks likely). In a letter to investors, Cohen said that prior marketing plans had foreseen the release of other significant titles from Take-Two Interactive, such as Red Dead Redemption 2. If this forecast is accurate, we can anticipate the release of GTA 6 anytime between April 2023 and March 2024. Originally anticipated to occur in the fiscal year 2023, this hike has now been postponed to 2024. If GTA 6 is to blame for this increase, a delay may have occurred.
