Jeff Bridges was at the door of death when he contracted Covid-19 while fighting cancer, Bridges told.
The Big Lebowski actor 72 has been announced in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma. While receiving chemotherapy treatment for that he contracted Covid-19 In March 2021.
The True Grit actor shared in September 2021 that he is in remission.
The Award-winning actor knew something was wrong two years ago when he was exercising and felt like he had an extra “bone” in his stomach. And it turned out to be a 9 by a 12-inch tumor in his abdomen. Jeff explains there was no pain and it turns out I had Lymphoma.
Jeff Bridges said that chemo wipes out your immune system and when Covid-19 hit me I had nothing to fight it I was just really at death’s door a couple of times there.
Bridges spent more than four months in the hospital and feared he would not be able to work again or even walk his daughter Haley, 36, down the aisle when she has got married, so Jeff feels fortunate the people around him stayed positive.
Jeff said he remember that doctors saying to him ‘Jeff, you gotta fight’. And he had no idea what about they were talking. He thought, “Man I am in surrender mode here’. He said that with a great medical team, great trainers, and my family, everybody brought me back.
With surviving both cancer and Covid-19, Jeff said that he is prioritizing his wife, Susan, whom he calls “the love of my life” as well as their three daughter and their three grandchildren.
Jeff Bridges said that “So often things are right on our nose that we don’t appreciate”, But it turns out there are many positive sides in my life that came out of that experience.

Jeff Bridges’ full name is Jeffrey Leon Bridges. He is an American actor and well known for his versatility, and has received various accolades throughout his career spanning over seven decades.
Jeff was born in Los Angeles on 4 December,1949. His father was also an actor Lloyd Bridges and his mother was a writer and actress Dorothy Bridges. In 1977 Bridges married with Susan Geston. The couple has three daughter-Isabelle Annie born on 6 August 1985, Jessica Lily born on 14 June 1983, and Haley Roselouise born on 17 October 1985.
Jeff Bridges has studied Buddhism and he has described himself as A Buddhist bent guy. He used to meditate for half an hour before beginning work on a film set. He also learned Transcendental Meditation.
