Lately, Johnny Depp has been rumoured to date her lawyer, Camille Vasquez, who fought the high-profile televised case against Amber Heard in Virginia. Later Camille Vasquez ousted all the rumours and called them ‘unethical’ and their relationship was purely professional.
Well, now it seems to be pretty clear that Johnny and Camille were never onto each other. Although our favourite Captain Jack Sparrow has found new love after his last toxic relationship.
Johnny Depp has been reported to be dating Joelle Rich, the lawyer who represented Johnny Depp in the UK trial against the newspaper publication, The Sun, which referred to Johnny as a “wife beater”. The case didn’t end in Johnny’s favour but the case does seem to hold some brighter side in Johnny’s life.
Reports are there that lawyer Joelle Rich was also present during the Virginia trial to support Johnny, though she wasn’t a part of the lawyer’s team and has nothing to do with the case either.
Joelle Rich is allegedly separated from his husband but their divorce hasn’t been finalized yet. Joelle has two kids from her husband.
At the time when Johnny Depp and Joelle Rich met, Joelle was married then and now she has been separated and filed a divorce.
Johnny Depp’s trial against The Sun fought by Joelle Rich
Jonny Depp 2018 filed a case against The Sun, as the newspaper showcased Johnny as a “wife beater” in an article. The case was highly publicized in July 2020. This case was fought by Joelle Rich, after several trials, the judgment was passed against Johnny Depp and the High Court of Justice ruled that 12 among the 14 incidents claimed by Amber Heard were “substantially true”. After losing the case Johnny Depp was forced by the production company Warner Bros to resign from the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
The defamation Case

In 2019 Johnny Depp filed a lawsuit against Heard for defamation over a December 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post. Depp alleged that according to the article there were three statements of Amber Heard which referred to as she was been abused by Depp which were false statements and that it was him who got abused and resulted in Disney declining any of the future projects with Depp.
The case becomes one of the major talks of the town and finally, on 1st June 2022 the Judgement was passed in favour of Johnny Depp and the jury found that all three statements were false and Depp was been defamed. The jury awarded Depp $10 million as compensatory damages and $5 million as punishing damages from Heard.
Later Johnny Depp gave his reaction to the defamation case’s result. Johnny said that he is truly humbled that the jury gave him his life back and he was overwhelmed by the love and support he got from all over the world during his tough time. Johnny added that he hopes that his journey to reveal the truth would have helped any men or women who would have been in the same situation.
The Comeback
Johnny Depp had suffered a lot since 2018 and after winning the case he has been focussing on his career once again. Johnny has performed with Jeff Beck, English Rock Guitarist in his new album ‘18’ and had also signed a contract with Dior.
