The Powerball drawing for the $1.9B Jackpot has been delayed on Monday due to technical reasons.
The players of it will have to wait until after Monday night’s drawing is delayed.
Lottery host Laura Johnson told television viewers at 11 p.m. EST on Monday, who were anxiously waiting to see if they were about to become a billionaire.
Johnson said that Because of a technical problem tonight, we are unable to bring you the drawing at this time. Johnson added as soon as we are able to resolve the issue and conduct the drawing, it will be available on Powerball.com.
The delay has happened due to a participating lottery needing extra time to complete the required security protocol. This information has been given by the lottery officials.
The official of the California Lottery said that once the required security protocols are complete, the drawing will be performed under the supervision of the lottery security officials and independent auditors.
The California Lottery has announced that it has strict security requirements that must be met by all 48 lotteries before a drawing can occur on Twitter. They later added that the drawing was further delayed due to “an issue in another state.

Anna said that the drawing scheduled for Monday, Nov. 7 remains delayed, currently, one participating lottery is still processing its play and sales data, it requires all 48 participating lotteries to submit their play and sales data before the winning numbers are selected, once it receives the outstanding submission, the drawing can proceed.
It has stringent security requirements to protect the integrity of the game and is committed to holding a drawing that gives all players a fair chance to win. Because of the length of the drawing delay, it is likely that we will not know the official results of its drawing until Tuesday morning. Players should hold onto their tickets.
