The 14th edition of the Presidents Cup golf competition The President Cup 2022 was held at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 22 to 25 September 2022. This is the first time that Quail Hollow hosting the President Cup.
The two teams who are playing the is U.S. team and the International team. The captain of the U.S. team is Davis Love III and Trevor Immelman is the captain of the International team
According to the President’s Cup website, the golf course opened to the public on Tuesday, 20 September. The club has hosted several events before the main competition.

The U.S. lit up the International team on the first day of the Presidents Cup 2022 by a 4-1 margin in foursomes play and takes a big lead into the final three days of play, one that the squad of Trevor Immelman is unlikely to overcome.
The Presidents Cup 2022’s first match featured what was on pace to be a historic beatdown and set the table for what would follow on Thursday at Quail Hollow Club. Xander Scauffele and Patrick Cantlay danced all over International vets Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama to the tune of a 6-and-5 victory to put the first point on the board. From there the U.S. went on to win its next two matches, both 2 and 1, before Cam Davis and Si Woo Kim bested Sam Burns and Scottie Scheffler, 2 up, For the lone International point of the day. Max Homa and Tony Finau also went to the 18th hole to squeak out a 1-up win over Mito Pereira and Taylor Pendrith to seal the 4-1 Day 1 win. It was the first time since 2005 that the World’s No. 1 lost his first match at the Presidents Cup 2022.

The United State team is taking a 6-point lead to the weekend at the President Cup 2022 after winning a Second session by a 4-1 margin. In the four-ball format, the star pairs of Justin Thomas/ Jordan Spieth and Xander Schauffele/ Patrick Cantlay won again, while Homa locked up the third full point with two closing birdies in the final match. Two other matches were halved.
Home is playing in his first Presidents Cup, birdied Nos. 17 and 18 to win the final match of the day to give the U.S. an 8-2 lead going into the weekend. On the 18th, Pendrith coolly holed a 13-foot birdie putt that could have salvaged a half-point, only to see Max Homa pour in an 11-footer for the win.
Kevin Kisner and Cameron Young tied their match with Mito Pereira and Christiaan Bezuidenhout, moving the overall score to 7-2 in favor of the U.S. Scottie had a 9-foot putt to win a third point for the U.S. but left it just short, so he and Burns got a half-point along with Internationals Sungjae I’m and Sebastian Munoz.
The team of Justin Thomas and Spieth put the first point on the board Friday the U.S., beating Adam Scott and Davis 2 and 1 to push the U.S. overall lead to 5-1.
Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton visited Quail Hollow on Friday and greeted the crowds at the first tee.
