One of the most famous American singer-songwriters Taylor Swift surprises fans by announcing her upcoming album “Midnights”, the thirteenth album, going to release on Oct 21. Swift announces this after receiving three wins for video of the year, best long-form video, and best direction all for her short film “All too well” (Taylor’s version), which was released in 2021 at the 2022 video music award (VMA).
All too well, the short film is a romantic drama that was titled after her 2012 song “All too well” casting Sadie sink and Dylan O’Brien as a romantic couple, facing many problems in their relationship.
VMA was held on Sunday night (Aug 28) at Prudential Center in Newark.
Swift creates history in VMA and become the first artist to win video of the year for the third time, firstly winning for “Bad blood” in 2015 and then for “You need to calm down” in 2019.

She also explains that the album is a collection “written in the middle of the night, a journey through terror and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go on searching – hoping that just maybe when the clock strikes twelve….we will meet ourselves
Swift took the stage and during accepting her moon person trophy, she said “majorly women are nominated for direction”
She further added I am so encouraged to see that in the history of VMA, for the first time all the four directors that are nominated in the video of the year category, are women.
