Nintendo has finally released the trailer of the much-awaited movie The Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. is an animated adventure comedy movie based on one of the most popular video games, produced by Illumination in association with Nintendo.
On 7th October at 4:05 PM ET, Nintendo revealed the first teaser trailer of The Super Mario.
Previously this week, Nintendo released the poster of the movie, where we couldn’t see Mario as the poster was shot from behind, but it gave us chills to see captain toad in this poster. Mario was one of our favorite characters from our childhood and when Nintendo shared the link to the live stream, millions of fans hopped onto the YouTube page.
Mario Movie Trailer
The Super Mario Bros. trailer was 2 mins 26 secs long and that was enough for the fans. The trailer starts with a dark and deadly opening which showed a deadly rocky ship that looks like a devil’s face landing on a snowy land, literally destroying the ice mansion. In the next scene, we could see the horrific King Koopa or Browser coming out from that devilish rocky ship and screaming “Open the Gate”, the gate of the ice mansion opens which belongs to penguins and we could see the King penguin was ready with his army to attack King Koopa but unfortunately the strong spirited penguins were of no match in front of King Koopa. King Koopa defeats them with the help of his wizard and destroys the Ice Mansion of Penguins, the trailer shows that King Koopa found something he was searching for which was a golden floating invincibility star with black eyes, that would probably make King Koopa the strongest of all and the scene ends with King Koopa’s dreadful mischievous laugh.
The last half of the trailer was opposite to the trailer which featured our hero Mario, who ended up in a place unknown to him but suddenly he finds Captain Toad who then asks Mario to follow him and the trailer ends with the dialogue of Mario “Mushroom Kingdom here we come”.
With the release of this Mario Movie Trailer, Internet has been brimming with reactions fans are damn excited about the release of this trailer and are looking forward to the movie but contrastingly some people are still not able to digest the fact that Chris Pratt is doing Mario. Fans are not happy that Charles Martinet, who gave the voice of both Mario and Luigi in the Super Mario video game was replaced by Chris Pratt, who doesn’t fit the role.
Chris Pratt as Mario

Earlier when it was announced that Chris Pratt would be doing the voice-over of Mario, fans were worried that Chris Pratt won’t be able to give justice to the iconic character of Mario, but they adjusted to this fact and kept their fingers crossed, but with the release of the trailer which just had 2 dialogues of Chris Pratt as Mario which shows that the earlier anticipation of the fans was true.
The Video game character Mario is an Italian plumber and Chris Pratt is far from an Italic accent, which is why fans are not understanding the reason behind choosing Chris Pratt. Some fans are also stating that the only reason for choosing Chris Pratt is to add a starry name to the franchise.
If we sideline Mario’s voice-over, another character that we saw in the trailer was Browser or King Koopa whose voice was given by Jack Black, who is no outsider with the art of voice acting, and in Super Mario also his voice suits in the browser’s character.
Super Mario Bros. is going to release on the 7th of April, 2022 and till then we can only hope that it won’t ruin our childhood memory.
