Houston Astros beat New York Yankees in the ALCS opener because to ageless Verlander

The Houston Astros defeated the New York Yankees 4-2 on Wednesday night in the first game of the American League

Championship Series thanks to Justin Verlander's 11 strikeouts in six scoreless innings

home runs  from Yuli Gurriel, Chas McCormick, and Jeremy Pena.

The Astros have advanced to the ALCS six times in a row, and they are attempting to win the World Series four times in that period

Verlander's eighth postseason game with at least ten strikeouts broke a big league record.
