The World Series 2022 is the championship series of Major league Baseball’s 2022 season. World Series 2022 is the 118th edition of the World Series.
It is a best-of-seven playoff played between the American League champion Houston Astros and the National League champion Philadelphia Phillies.
The series has begun on 28 October and will end on 6 November if all seven games are necessary.
Houston has the home-field advantage and will host the game 1 and 2.

This is the fifth World Series appearance for the Houston Astros, and the fourth as the AL team The Houston qualified for the postseason 2022 as the American League West division winner.
For Phillies, this is the eighth world series appearance and the first since 2009. They qualified for the postseason as the sixth-seed wild card entrant with an 87-75 record.
World Series 2022 Game 1 Phillies vs Astros
Philadelphia made the improbable happen in Game 1 against the Astros. The Phillies beat Houston in dramatic fashion Friday night to take Game 1 of the World Series 6-5 in extras.
After going down 5-0 in the third inning, largely due t two home runs by Houston outfielder Kyle, the Philadelphia buckled down and clawed their way back, tying it up on a Realmuto double in the fifth.
Neither team was able to score for the remaining four innings, although Houston came close in the ninth with Jose in scoring position with two outs. Nick made an incredible catch, however, to send the game into extra innings.
J.T Realmuto came through again in the 10th, hammering a home run to right field to put Philadelphia ahead by one. Phillies held on after an Alex Bregman doubles in the 10th and took a Game 1 that looked like it was over early.

In the all-best-of-seven postseason series, teams winning Game 1 have gone on to win 121 of 187 times. In the world series with the current 2-3-2 format, teams grabbing a 1-0 lead on the road have then won 39 of 69 times, including Philadelphia’s Game 1 victory over the Padres in the NL Championship Series.
The last team to win a World Series 2022 game it had trailed by five runs? The 2002 Angels in Game 6 … Against Baker’s Giants.
So Dusty Baker knows too well the pain of this type of defeat and the Houston Astros know too well how it feels to let the home-field advantage slip away in Game 1 of the World Series.
In the franchise’s first playoff game since 2011, the Philadelphia had just a 3.4 per cent chance of winning Game 1 of the National League Wild Card Series against the Cardinals with 1 out in the 9th, but they stormed back with a six-run inning. In their lowest moments, they had a 17.3 per cent chance of winning Game 4 of the NLCS and a 21.4 per cent chance of winning Game 5 of the NLCS- both of which were victories.
The Final Words
Well, so much for there being no surprises this World Series, The Phillies came in knowing they had to win at least one of these first two games away at Minute Maid Park to have the chance at pulling off an upset against the Astros. It was hard to think that I would be this one, given the fact that fell behind 5-0 early.
However, their bullpen came in and gave them zeroes while the opportunistic Philadelphia bats did their damage against Verlander, whose inexplicable World Series woes continue.
The Houston Astros bullpen managed to do their best to keep Philadelphia off the board in regulation, but the 10th inning gave Realmuto the chance to hit the home run that made all the difference. Now the pressure is on Houston to even out this series in Game 2 or finds themselves in a deep hole.
We will continue to cover the World Series 2022 here, so stay here to see how Houston responds.
